Hi
I will be doing some Arabic-Indian fusion dance pieces (as I have been studying both Oriental and classical Indian dance for many years) and I am looking for suitable music.
So far I have "Indo-Arabic Variations".
Does somebody know more?

Hi Meissoun I'll keep my ears open. Have you heard any Najma Akhtar? Her album (called something like 'Visions') is supposed to be quite good with a lot of Indo-Arabic tracks. She normally leans a bit far towards jazz for my personal taste. 'Kabul Workshop' and 'Digital Bled' also do some nice stuff. What sort of 'speed' are you looking for? regards Saviya

I am looking for something that's not too new-agey.
Like the Indo-Arabic Variations CD, but with more rhythm and not such long taqsims.
It can be a bit westernized, unless it's not all synthesyzers.
